Rajiv Bhalla
- Founding Attorney, Bhalla Law Office I am Rajiv Bhalla, the founding member of Bhalla Law Office, with over 27 years of legal
experience. My journey in law began in India, where I practiced at the Patiala District Court.
After immigrating to Canada, I worked with Alberta Justice and the Solicitor General until
1997, before being admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1998.
Serving people and helping them secure the rights guaranteed under the Canadian Charter of
Rights and Freedoms has always been my passion. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of
representing clients from diverse backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities across the globe.
My practice has allowed me to achieve successful outcomes in Canadian immigration, refugee,
and criminal matters. I have also had the opportunity to serve local developers and home
builders on commercial ventures ranging from small projects to large-scale developments.
In 2017, I was honored to be acclaimed as Chairperson of the National Small & Solo General
Practice Forum of the Canadian Bar Association. My involvement with the Forum began in 2010,
when I was selected as its first Member-at-Large during the annual conference in Niagara
Falls. Since then, I have held various leadership roles, including Secretary, Treasurer, and
Vice Chair, contributing to the growth and success of the group.
Beyond my legal practice, I am a founding trustee of a local school in South Edmonton, which
now serves over 350 students. I am also an active member of the Alberta branch of the Canadian
Bar Association, participating in the Immigration Section and the Small & Solo Group
Forum.
Through my work, I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of my clients and the
community, ensuring that justice and fairness are accessible to all.
